What is the Job Shop.Net and why buy it?

The .Net job shop is a fully fledged job board web application developed using the same industry standard coding practices used in RDB ProNet.  The .Net Job Shop can stand alone or be integrated into your website to provide a range of services to your candidates and clients in real time – by providing direct links (through web services) to your ProNet database.

Gobbledygook over with – what can you do with it?  The thing to remember is that the Job Shop.Net has been engineered with one thing in mind – to help you make more placements.  Everything in .Net job shop makes the experience of dealing with your company easier and more rewarding for your clients and candidates as well as improving efficiency and easing administration for you.

Candidate Side Key Features (Candidate Lounge)
  1. Publish a job in ProNet and the job instantly appears on your website. Prospective candidates can see the job as soon as possible.  You don’t have to run an export – saving you admin time and making the job available to prospective candidates in the shortest possible time – leading to more placements.

  2. E-mail job alerts - When a user of the website subscribes to e-mail alerts – new jobs matching their requirements will be sent to them automatically. Again improving your chances of getting your jobs under your candidates noses in the shortest possible time.  One client (with only ten consultants) has calculated that he makes four extra placements a month as a result of offering e-mail alerts. How much would that be worth to YOUR business.  You could always ask candidates at interview if they want to subscribe – and subscribe them yourself – meaning that even more of your candidates will be able to find out about your jobs as soon as you publish them in your ProNet database!

  3. Better even then E-Mail alerts, the Job Shop .Net gives candidates the opportunity to subscribe to an RSS news feed.  This means that when you publish your job in ProNet, almost instantly, that job will appear in the news reader /e-mail application or your candidate. How cool is that?!  Again, this increases your chance that your candidate will find out about your new job from you – NOT someone else. Naturally this will mean more placement fees.

  4. Self Selection for jobs. This is a feature that is massively beneficial and is almost impossible for anyone else to replicate.  When a candidate applies for a job through the website – that candidate is automatically added to the review screen for the job – an alert is sent to the consultant telling him that someone has applied for the job they are looking after.  All this is happening in real-time!  Just review the CV – modify as required and forward to the client – massively increasing your productivity and helping you get your candidate in front of your client before any one else does – and with full compliance. More placements yet again.

  5. Self Maintenance:- registered candidates can manage their own basic information (to be honest this can be as much as you want with customisation) such as telephone no.s, e-mail addresses and other contact information.  This means that there is a much better chance that when you try and contact some one – your information is going to be correct. They can even submit an updated CV. Less wasted time – more efficiency – more placements more money.

  6. Self Maintenance of Availability Diary. The availability diary in ProNet is excellent – but its only as good as the information in it.  We provide an online diary for your candidates that they can maintain themselves.  They can add their un-availabilities meaning that when you run your searches (particularly useful when you have temps that work for more than one agency) you know that the people who say that they are available are.  You can be far more confident of your search results and will be able to make more booking rather than chasing people to find out whether they can work or not. Massive saver of time, improves efficiency, makes you look better in the eyes of your clients, makes you more money.

  7. Gives Candidates the Opportunity to search all your jobs and apply on line, sounds a bit pedestrian, and is all most job engines on most websites do. However, ours is better in many ways. For example – have you looked at some job boards and found your can run a search and come up with a nil result??  With our Job Shop if there are no “Engineering” jobs in your database you won’t even need to search to know that – making the searches easier to refine and making the whole experience less unpleasant for your candidates – meaning they’ll stay and not simply go off to some one else’s job board. They can also apply to jobs one at a time or in batches.  Holding the attention of some one who is on your website is absolutely crucial and will mean that you will make more placements.

  8. Radius Searching. Candidates are not only able to search for jobs by location but also within a radius of their specified location.  If they log in they don’t even have to specify the location – the application can check their ProNet record.  This saves them time and makes your job board a nicer place to be.  Very important when so many boards are fighting for their attention. Only Applicable where you have a locations table.

  9. CV sending check. If you allow them – candidates can view where their CV has been sent, when and its current status and review interview arrangements online.  This improves candidate buy in and improves loyalty – leading to more placements. (available early 2008)

  10. Display of the latest jobs- hot jobs (you set the criteria):- When anyone looks at your website the latest jobs can be seen at a glance.  Put it on your home page or on any page that your like with customisation.

In addition we will provide you with reports that will show you how well your website is doing – how many candidates it attracts, how many get to interview and how many self selected applicant you place.

The cost of the basic package is just £10,000 and this includes the data access license that is required to access the ProNet database through a web service – so no unexpected licensing costs.  We will also need a couple of days to provide it as sub-domain on your website.  The cost of this is £1,000 and we will include your banner/logo and a colour wash (basic branding).  Full integration into your website can be quoted for separately but you should allow a minimum of three days for this to be done (for example with a website that First Choice has built).

What else will you need.
You will need a  server running at least Windows 2003 (web server) – this needs to be on the same LAN as your ProNet database.  NB Your website doesn’t have to be on the same LAN.
